A little about me.

I'm a mum of five (though two of them have grown up and left home now) and partner of an engineer. I'm a writer/poet, somewhat enthusiastic amateur photographer, history geek, castle freak and lover of nature and all things outdoors. Big fan of camping and low cost days out with the kids too. Another parent asked me a while back, "How do you find such great places to go?" Well, the internet isn't just for hooking up with men and looking at videos of cats;- it does actually have it's uses too.

I'll be covering many subjects, from hobbies to cost effective days out. Look here for ideas.
